A Café Container or ‘Pop Up Cafe’ is a great way to make your business stand out from the competition. If we’re honest with ourselves, not many people can start their day without a skinny latte or a long black, and meeting over a cup of coffee has become so much a part of our culture that it’s hard to imagine how we socialized before it became so popular! And that’s where the shipping cafe container design comes into play!
About the client
The Café Container is a start-up company founded by Ziad Saadeh in Saudi Arabia.
The container design, which is used as a portable café, is a form of architecture that uses steel intermodal containers (shipping containers) as its structural element because of their inherent strength, wide availability and relatively low cost.
Café Container has decided to quickly spread its containers along all the streets and beaches in the KSA by providing low-cost construction to buyers.
We had to make the cafe container design so that it would be totally adaptable to use in any location and for all purposes. Therefore, we designed it so that it would not spread out horizontally and instead used two 12 meter containers to fit 20 guests on the ground floor and 20 guests on the second floor.
To speed up the construction, the interior wooden furnishings are all prefabricated.
Speed in construction and adaptability were the main priorities of the client and this is exactly what CAS engineers delivered
Stacked on one another, the two containers in the cafe container design are a comfy, modern, ship-shaped coffee shop adapted to any location or site. You can have the containers made off-site and then delivered to your site.
Like our newly designed café sitting on the doorsteps of a super mall in Saudi Arabia, what you will receive from our designers will last a lifetime.
Shipping containers are becoming a more suitable option for home and bar designs. With prices as low as $10,000 you can start a great project and build on your success.
The architects at CAS carefully planned this double-decker café, smoothing-out the exterior walls so that a coat paint could easily be applied.
The various shapes of the windows give the coffee shop a modern look, making it a trendy hangout for coffee lovers.
You have two choices for entering the café. Either from the side door of the first container or from the stairs up to the second floor. Inside the café, we placed a rather big wooden counter and finished off the look with hanging industrial lights.
Further to the front, the café chairs and tables are arranged neatly with triple lamps hanging from the ceilings to light up the café at nights.
In addition to the design of the Coffee Container, CAS was also tasked with providing the Arabic and English branding for this start-up company.
